THE THEATER RAMT
WE HAVE CREATED A NEW WEBSITE FOR THE RUSSIAN ACADEMIC YOUTH THEATER: WE ORGANIZED A LARGE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL INTO SECTIONS, REMOVED UNNECESSARY ELEMENTS FROM THE MAIN PAGE, AND DESIGNED A SIMPLE AND INTUITIVE INTERFACE.

The Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT) was founded by Natalia Sats in 1921. The theater approached us with the task of bringing the website design up to date and developing desktop and mobile versions of the site.

→ Moved information from the main page to other sections, making it cleaner.

→ Removed a large amount of material into tiles, increased the size of photos, and made sections with images more prominent, allowing the photos to speak for themselves.

→ Made the site tile-based to fully utilize the width of the screen, which allowed us to make the main page more compact.

The theater's logo refers to revolutionary avant-garde stick fonts, deliberately geometric and proletarian — this became the main idea when choosing a font for the website.

Andrey Abramov chose the font "Five Years Later" by Roman Gornitsky, which plays well on the border between history and modernity. It combines uppercase and lowercase letters, which is a witty nod to the childlike character, as RAMT was originally a theater for children. The font added character to the site and cleverly reminded of the theater's childlike beginnings.

We have updated the theater's website within the framework of the current style. We selected a font close to the logo for headings and texts. We redesigned the site with the new font, changed page designs, but retained the corporate style and structure. We created desktop and mobile versions. We found a graphical rhyme to this style, but avoided direct quoting. It turned out to be an ironic piece: light, yet with a great interest in history.

RAMT remains alive both in terms of repertoire and content, and now, in terms of design. We thank the theater for their willingness to implement design projects and for giving us the opportunity to participate in them.
